Now I want to try blogging as a public learning practice.

I want to improve my writing because it will help me to think better. I want to clarify vague thoughts, draw better conclusions and explain my reasoning. The necessity to write regularly will motivate me to learn and try new things. Maybe I will get critique from readers and it will help me to improve and grow. Right now blogging seems like a challenging activity for me and I want to be better at doing intellectually challenging things.

I write in English because it is my second language and I’m interested in improving it. I don’t have much English practice in my everyday life so I need to create this practice myself and a blog seems perfect for it.

The blog will be useful in case I need to look for a new job. It will be an addition to my resume that shows how I think, what I’ve learned and the personal projects I’ve worked on.

The blog is a long-term project. Maintaining it will help me to develop discipline required for doing such things. I’ve always been a content consumer and now I want to try the role of a creator. This is a new experience for me and I’m interested in it because I’ll get a new perspective for content creation. I’m interested in learning about the writing process: how to generate ideas, write a draft, edit it, publish, get feedback.

This post is a starting point to begin writing regularly. It will remind me why I started.

I’ve never had a blog or a social media presence before.
